Since their 2014 formation, savannah dance-rock band street clothes has endured lineup changes, breakups, and births to craft dance-pop for the vintage-loving glam-pop masses.
Singer/songwriter Andy Sutphen relocated to Savannah, GA with a catalog of songs in his pocket. He was set on a finding a fresh start and a new band. By 2015, with the addition of Veronica Garcia and David Murray, Street Clothes was formed and creating a stir in the local scene with their dynamic, dance inducing live performances.
In early 2016, Street Clothes released the album With Signs & Wonders which was recorded with engineer and producer, Peter Mavrogeorgis. A strong rapport was developed during these studio sessions and Street Clothes returned to Mavrogeorgis later that year to collaborate further on their second LP, Superautomatica. The sophomore album brings a sleek, synth-driven sound that evokes 1970's new wave paired with anecdotal lyrics.
Upon the release of Superautomatica, Street Clothes is focused on local and regional performances lined up for late summer and early fall.
